Cuddly Moleskine!

Since finding my Moleskine sketch and watercolor books, I'm falling in love with them. I have them everywhere I go and have enjoyed them tremendously whenever I pull them out. I'm realizing I really enjoy creating art even though I get a bit nervous when I do. The more I do though, I'm sure I'll relax and just let the creativity happen. Yes, some of my sketches and paintings are going to be HORRID, but that's okay. I'm not going to die if I make bad art. I'll just get better right? Seize the day and don't forget to live! (in between the work, of course!) Here's a sketch I did of the Rube:

Which I'm finding is a very hard subject. She's all black. Black nose, eyes, fur. Not easy, but my fuzzbabes are my favorite subject, so I'll keep trying. And here's a picture of my travel watercolor set, which I adore. The water-in-the-brush takes all the mess out of plein-air watercolor painting. I bring extra drip bottles to refill it, but it doesn't have to be filled often. Its called a Koi Watercolor set by Sakura. The little palette uses it's pegged "legs" to stay in the set, so you can put it on the right, left or in front of the paints. The kit has a thumb ring on the back as well:

The watercolor Moleskine I got is the small one. Its very similar to my sketching one in size. Here's my paint pouch and my drawing Moleskine next to it:

I think my next project will be sewing a little velcro closing fabric wrap for my sketchbook with a pocket for a pencil, sharpener and a small eraser. I'd like to just grab it and go. Thanks for looking! (Oh, and Charlie was a bit jealous that I put Ruby on the counter for pictures, so I had to take some of him too. I'm still getting used to this two dog thing!)
