What's for dinner: Hungarian Goulash with Creamy Dill Cucumbers
Hungarian Goulash (one of our family's favorites)
2# meat (sirloin or top round or for you harry potter familiars, you can substitute Hungarian Horntail dragon meat)
1 large onion
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp dry mustard
3/4 tsp cider vinegar
1 cup water
Saute meat with onion. Mix all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over cooked meat. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for an hour. (until meat is fork tender) Serve over egg noodles or rice. The Creamy dill cucumber recipe is here. I also like to serve sweet Hawaiian bread when my entree is saucy. ;)
