What's for dinner: Teriyaki Pork Donburi
I love Donburi meals. Japanese comfort food. YUM! This recipe actually was pretty bad. Teriyaki sauce is made from sugar and soy sauce, this called for red wine vinegar and a little bit of honey. Not enough sweet. After doing the picky recipe, I ended up tossing in a jar of Kikoman Teriyaki baste/glaze and it saved it. Next time I'll just use that from the beginning. This recipe called for four cups of shredded cabbage which really stretches the dollar and I had about four cups left over after making the cabbage rolls last week. So, it worked out quite well. And I found the pork tenderloin on sale for 2.99/lb so I bought five of them! (a freezer is a girls best friend) I served this over brown rice. Email or call me if you'd like the recipe. :)
