What's for dinner in Lent: Red Lobster Crab Alfredo & Cheddar Biscuits

Crab Alfredo:

4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
2 cups half & half or heavy cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan
salt and white pepper to taste
pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
about 8oz of cooked snow crab meat

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in the flour, and cook briefly until the mixture looks sandy. Whisk in the half-and-half, and stir until the mixture forms a thick sauce. Stir in the cheese, and season to taste. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors, and stir in the crab meat. Cook JUST until the crab is heated through. Serve over cooked linguine, with additional Parmesan cheese and hot red pepper flakes on the side.

Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits

2 cups bisquick
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 stick butter
1/4 tsp garlic salt
parsley

Mix bisquick, milk and cheddar. Drop in balls on foiled (ungreased) cookie sheet. Bake at 450 for 8-10 minutes. Melt butter add garlic salt and parsley. Use a basting brush to spread butter mixture over hot biscuits while they're still on the pan.
